Volume 4, Issue 5
Special volume AJAX in honor of René Schoof
Abstract:
Planning our first visit to a new land is not that different from the task that mathematics students must face when starting their research training. For such a task, traditional road maps that can be unfolded in front of our eyes are needed. As we will explain in these pages through some concrete examples, René Schoof’s expository papers offer a varied catalogue of road maps of some the most beautiful territories developed in number theory.
These pages are aimed at mathematics students in the early stages of their research training and their advisors, as well as to René Schoof (they were conceived as a gift for him) and his friends.
