Publication ethics and publication malpractice statement

Duties of the president

Relations with readers

Any complaint from readers (pertaining to the current guidelines or other) must be addressed to the president who will undertake to respond swiftly to it and charge the managing editor with taking any appropriate follow up action.

Duties of the editors

Quality of the review

The editors are collectively responsible for the scientific quality of the journal, which they ensure by complying with the rules below.

Peer review process

The managing editor performs initial screening to filter out unsuitable manuscripts and assigns appropriate submissions to an editor.

Editors then evaluate submissions using a strict, single-blind peer review process. They conceal the identity of the reviewers from the authors.

The editor in charge of a given submission makes a final decision (rejection, revision or acceptance) based on the reviews received. Acceptance decisions should be supported by two reviews.

Impartiality

Manuscripts are evaluated solely based on their scientific content, disregarding any other considerations including but not limited to the identity of the authors and their affiliation.

Decisions are made impartially and independently of commercial considerations.

Confidentiality

Editors only use the submitted articles for the purpose of making a publication decision and keep their content otherwise confidential until publication.

Conflicts of interest

Any perceived, potential or actual conflict of interest must be promptly disclosed to the managing editor. He will then ensure that the implicated parties are not involved in the evaluation process.

Duties of reviewers

Reviewers are selected based on their scientific expertise. They are responsible for evaluating manuscripts according to the present guidelines.

Duties of authors

Originality and plagiarism

Authors must guarantee the originality of their article and not publish any text that is similar in any way to counterfeiting as defined by the Intellectual Property Code. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour in scientific publication and are therefore unacceptable.

In particular, authors undertake not to submit an article that has been previously published in another journal or a new article that is based exclusively on work already published elsewhere.

Similarly, authors undertake not to submit their articles to several journals at the same time.

References

Any citations (or use of works by other authors) must be identified as such and accompanied by appropriate references, presented according to the format usually used by the journal.

Authorship

Authorship must be offered to anyone who has made a significant contribution to the work as presented. Conversely, the list of authors must not include anyone who has not contributed to the work.

By submitting an article, the corresponding author, certifies that:

and that, if and when the article is accepted, they will:

Defamatory statements

The authors undertake not to exceed, in the articles submitted, the rules of scientific debate and not to make defamatory statements that could be interpreted as damage to the reputation of a third person.

Use of generative AI

It is the authors' responsibility to determine whether any potential use of generative AI in the preparation of their article is acceptable with respect to the scientific guidelines of the present statement. Authors are ultimately responsible for the full content of their submission, even parts which may not have been written by themselves, including by generative AI.

Erratum

When the journal is made aware of a significant error in a published article, it informs its authors and requests that they assist with the publication of a corrigenda or erratum.

If an author is made aware of such an error, he must declare it to the managing editor and assist to the best of his ability with the publication of a corrigenda or erratum.

Unethical publication behavior

Any complaint or allegation of unethical publication behavior must be addressed to the president who will undertake to respond swiftly to it and charge the managing editor with taking any appropriate follow up action.

The president will first contact the authors of the implicated article and seek to clarify the situation with them and work to provide a satisfying resolution of the perceived problem to everyone's satisfaction before seeking other courses of action which may include the publication of an erratum against the authors wishes or further action as allowed by the framework of the law.
